CineTheatre is a very particular way of watching movies.  We like to think of it as the no compromise option.  If you already have a 16:9 screen (or flat panel) you would have noticed that when you watch a movie made in cinemascope there are black bars above and below the image.  

 

The CineTheatre experience is about getting rid of the black bars.  Also known as a Constant Image Height system, the resulting image is as tall as your 16:9 screen, but 33% wider.  

 

To achieve this result for starters you will need a native 16:9 projector, with either onboard scaling or an external scaler, an anamorphic lens, and of course, a screen.  If you go with the frame screen option, choose a Galleria in either 2.35:1, 2.37:1, 2.39:1 or 2.40:1 aspect ratio, we would recommend the Novares fabric together with the velvet velour frame.

 

What you will see are movies that fill the whole screen height, no black bars, and are extra wide to engage the peripheral vision in an immersive experience.

 

When you go back to 16:9 viewing your image is still the full screen height, but just not as wide.  We recommend teaming your Galleria with either a motorised or manual masking solution so that the 16:9 images are also crisply framed in black velvet.
