Yamaha Sound Projectors (YSP) work by using your walls as speakers. They YSP-4100 acoustically calibrates your room and works out where to bounce audio from the walls to ensure you receive the best quality surround sound.

Wireless iPod Dock

Using the included iPod dock you can have audio streamed wirelessly from your iPod to your YSP-4100. Simply plug in the supplied dongle accessory to bottom of your iPod and press play on your selected track. The YSP-4100 will turn on, go to the iPod input and begin to play. Best of all, you have volume control and track selection in your hand just by scrolling on your iPod.

The YSP-4100 has four HDMI inputs. That’s probably enough to connect everything you’ve got, and then some. With each HDMI input supporting 1080p video and able to take all the new HD audio formats, the YSP-4100 is definitely the one stop shop for video and audio.

Designed to fit

Designers went the all the way with YSP-4100. Not only does it have all the features listed, but it was also designed to match the width of a 42-inch panel. If your panel has been mounted to a wall, don’t worry. The YSP-4100 can also be mounted (with the SPMK-30 bracket) directly below to ensure it fits discreetly.

AirWired technology has been developed by Yamaha to transmit and receive uncompressed audio signals. This retains the audio signal’s full sonic integrity unlike compressed transmission methods such as Bluetooth. AirWired allows wireless iPod docking and subwoofer connections to be made without any loss of quality.

UniVolume detects and evens out the annoying and obtrusive volume differences between TV shows and TV ads, and keeps all your programs and input sources at the same volume.

Yamaha’s Intellibeam allows our Digital Sound Projectors to automatically measure the dimensions of your room and find the best reflective surfaces for maximum surround effect. Simply plug in the supplied microphone, run the setup once and your Digital Sound Projector is ready to use.

With all of the setup menus displayed on your TV your Home Theatre becomes a lot easier to configure.

Dolby Digital soundtracks have provided great sound from DVD’s and TV broadcasts for over a decade, although Dolby Digital is a compressed format. In the age of High Definition BluRay and HDMI, Dolby Laboratories have developed Dolby TrueHD which delivers uncompressed, full-bandwidth digital sound which is bit-for-bit identical to the studio master. The result – a completely immersive and awe-inspiring audio experience.

DTS provides great sound from DVDs, although to save space on disc it is compressed which sacrifices audio quality to some degree. DTS-HD Master Audio takes advantage of the vastly superior storage capability of BluRay disc and is capable of delivering 7.1 channel audio which is bit-for-bit identical to the studio master.
